Burnley Neighbourhood Centre (BNC) is a community centre managed by local people for local people. The premises are owned and maintained by the City of Yarra.

BNC runs many courses and programs, and our facilities are used by individuals, families and community groups. We aim to create a place of welcome where people—adults and children—feel nurtured and supported. Come along to our social and support groups, participate in a class and learn new skills, get to know others in your community. We are a friendly team of people who would love to meet you.

Join Us

The Committee of Management (COM) comprises people of various backgrounds and interests coming together to assist in the running of the centre and exploring how we can best serve the needs of the community.

BNC Funding Sources

Other revenue:
Memberships, fees, classes, and fundraising by the Committee of Management.

Developing the direction of the centre is important and so we seek centre users or other members of the community who are keen and interested in generating ideas, understanding what we do, enhancing the relationship of BNC with the community and exploring where we go to from here. Joining the COM provides lots of opportunities for input, fun and even the occasional glass of wine!

Please contact us if you are interested or for further information.
