Welcome To Our House
CNH History

Collingwood Neighbourhood House is managed under the auspice of Belgium Avenue Neighbourhood House (BANH Inc).  Belgium Avenue Neighbourhood House (BANH) was established twenty years ago to service families living in the high rise estate in North Richmond.

CNH was re-established under this auspice in 1999

Collingwood Neighbourhood House was originally
the Rita Mae kindergarten servicing this community

prior to this.

CNH services a large culturally diverse community.
The House aims to keep the programs relevant and
accessible to all.

The CNH program provides recreational and
educational activities, information and referral,
support and a place for the community to drop in.
The House is managed and operated by local people
and the Committee of Management is responsible
for finances, staff, employment, policy development
and program planning.

The programs and activities are for families and
individuals including children, intellectually and
physically disabled, men, women, non-English
speakers , the elderly, the unemployed and young people.

CNH is funded through the City of Yarra, Department of Planning & Community Development, Department of Human Services, UCA Yarra Parish Mission, Northern Metropolitan Region of Adult Community Further Education and a variety of other funding sources for specific programs.

CNH is supported by the Office of Housing & Neighbourhood Renewal
